NESTS

Nests are imaginary spaces of refuge made from garbage, household items, food and other found objects. Primarily a dancer and performer, these nests are Mehgan’s first sculptures. In a moment where folks are leaning into virtual modes of work and connection, “nesting” demands that every available space and object be considered a physical tool with possibilities. Nesting is a practice of seeing small spaces and limited possessions as resources for experimentation rather than hindrances.
